YMCA Adventure Guides

YMCA Adventure Guides is a program designed to strengthen the relationship between a parent and a child. In YMCA Adventure Guides, the parent is the Guide, and the child is the Explorer.

Friday Family Nights

6:30-8:00 p.m.

All themed Family Nights happen on the third Friday of each month unless otherwise noted.

The third Friday Family Night is FREE & OPEN to everyone in the community!

  • Nights are packed with themed activities for your family
  • Stay later to enjoy the pool, gyms, Family Adventure Center and more!
  • Parents/Guardians must stay and participate in the activities with their children

Pre-registration is required so we can ensure adequate staffing and supplies.

 


 

 

Friday Family Nights

Every Friday night is Family Night atBuehler YMCA. Join us in the pool,explore the playmaze, challenge each other on the basketball court and climbing wall. We will also offer the inflatable in the pool once a month. Watch for monthly Family Night flyers for schedules and special themed nights.

Family Adventure Center

Hours of Operation:

Monday–Thursday: 8:30am - 9:00pm
Friday: 8:30am - 10:00pm
Saturday:    8:30am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

 

Maze
The maze is open during Family Adventure Center hours. Parents must remain on the floor to supervise children under 9 years of age. Socks must be worn at all times!

 

Supervised Playtime in Maze
Available for children four to eight years of age as follows:

Monday–Friday 8:30am - 1:00pm and 4-9pm
Saturday:    8:30am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

 

*During supervised care a ratio of ten children per staff member is maintained. Occasionally, it may be necessary to wait for a brief period of time. ALL children must be signed in and out, and parents may not leave the building during this time!

 

YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago Member Fee:

  • The first two hours are FREE.
  • After two hours, there is a $4.00 per hour fee, per child, payable at the member service desk at the front entrance. Limited to three hours per day, per child.

Other YMCAs and program participants:

  • There is a $6.00 per hour, per child fee, with the sameguidelines as those for member usage.
  • Late Fee: For every 15 minutes you are late in picking upyour child(ren), there will be a charge of $1.00 per child.

NOTE: If you currently have an Adult Membership and are participating in one of our many programs or utilizing our wellness facilities, Buehler YMCA will extend to all adult membership holders with children(your children) the FREE two hours per child, per day use of the nursery.(The two FREE hours does not include use of supervised care in the Family Adventure Center. If you wish to leave your child in the Family Adventure Center during supervised care, you are required to pay the daily fee.)
