| 2.21.10 | Mantainance | Pool Freezing! Fire the weekend pool crew!! Now. If that's not bad, how about a cold shower?? | We strive to provide all people using the Y with the best experience possible, whether it's your experience in the pool, families receiving financial assistance or the kids having fun in their summer day camp programs. Our maintenance department works extremely hard to keep the facility running smoothly. However, despite all of their efforts, there are still going to be days when things aren't working 100% right. Maintenance is aware of your concern and will monitor the water temperature. Thanks. | Alex Paskhaver |
| 2.21.10 | Member Services | AnneMarie at the front desk was fabulous with a capital F! | Thank you for acknowledging Anne Marie. She is a valueable addition to the Member Services team. | Bill Kelly |
| 2.21.10 | Member Services | The Ladies Locker Room upstairs is very crowded during peak times, while the downstairs locker room is virtually empty. With this in mind, is it possible to obtain "Kit Lockers" for the Adult only section of the downstairs Ladies Locker Room? | We will definitely take a look at the set up and see if it is possible to designate some rental locker space. We will let you know. Thanks. | Bill Kelly |
| 2.21.10 | Member Services / General | I do love that you have a coffee shop in the building. Thanks, N. | We are happy that you're enjoying our partnership with Vito's Café. | Bill Kelly |
| 2.21.10 | Member Services / Operations | I am a new member and I have to say I am very displeased with the language I hear (profanity). I do not want to upset anyone, but when it is clearly posted "No Profanity" and adult men are dropping the "F" bomb like crazy - I have my children comment on the language everytime and I'd like to know what to do. | Profanity is NOT ACCEPTABLE at the YMCA. If in the future you hear someone or a group using bad language, please locate a YMCA staff person and let them take the necessary action. Thank you. | Bill Kelly |
| 2.21.10 | Housekeeping/ Health and Fitness | How often is the floor in the Personal Training room cleaned? (The mats too) I don't want to cry wolf, but I think I might have picked up something from there; my arms itch like crazy these past tow weeks (I am not previously prone to heat rash either). | The PT Center will be mopped / cleaned daily . The mats throughout Buehler should be cleaned before and after each use by those members who use them. We have signs posted . The staff give them a general cleaning periodically. | |
| 2.21.10 | Housekeeping | Where did the recycling cans in the fitness center go? They are gone. There should be more thoughout the building. | We are working on a grant to provide recycling. | Lucy Cetlaus |
| 2.21.10 | Health / Fitness | Why do the mats keeps disappearing from the cardio-deck / track area? This has been happening for years. We need to consistently have at least two good mats for warm ups, stretching, and back conditioning. | For safety purposes, the designated stretching areas at Buehler YMCA are in the Wellness Center, Adult Locker Rooms, and Studio 1. There are mats in all three locations. Since the loft area is designated for cardio and strength training, we suggest you stretch in one of the above mentioned areas first. | Anne Springer |

Was in on 01.15.10 and attended to by Karla. She was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. Very friendly! |
Thank you for acknowledging Karla. She like all of our staff try hard to help and meet the needs of all members and guests. I am happy to hear that Karla is making a difference. |

For regular members of the Y, people who come regularly, Break Week(s) is a nightmare! |
Before I can throughly reply to this comment, I need a little more information about what makes the Break Week(s) such a nightmare. |

Late worker at the Front Desk to purchase BTS tickets. I need to get to 8:10am class! It's 8:01am! Should start shift at 7:45am. |
A member services staff person should be at the desk and ready to assist members and guests at 8am. Staff should be arriving at least 7 minutes before their scheduled shift. Please let us know if staff are not ready to go at 8am. Thanks. |

I want to compliment you on selection Molly as an employee. Greets are the first "Y" employees that every member sees. Her cheery smile and upbeat attitude are a pleasure to experience. She makes me feel like a visiting relative rather than as somebody she doesn't know very well. It brightens my day. |

The class Friday for Zumba, no like, is very slow. |
All our Zumba instructors have been trained and certified. They may have different styles and personalities to serve the diversity of our membership. Check the schedule for additional Zumba classes and Group Groove classes. |

Saturday morning ab class needs their own equipment. They take all the balance balls from the Wellness Center leaving the rest of us with no equipment. |
Thank you for your comment. In the future, we will be leaving two stability balls in the Wellness Center on Saturday mornings. |

Thanks to Debbie for stepping in and teaching the crowd that was here. Much confusion today about non BTS classes (Sunday). Based the BTS launch schedule, there is no reason not to have a spin/yoga class this morning. Also, throughout the week, the staff at the desk gave inconsistent answers about whether or not there would be an 8 am class today. For Sunday classes - 1/3 should mean 1/3. |
Sorry about the class confusion of Sunday January 3. The only class that was supposed to be cancelled was the 10:15 Zumba. The communication wasn't clear and I apologize. We're all happy Debbie taught the 8:15am Cycle Class! This was our first Sunday BTS launch and it went very well (except for this glitch). We'll strive to improve! |

Spin class was filled up and two people were extremely rude when there were only two bikes left. The guy was rude and walked in after I had already been there looking for a bike. Need to either get more bikes or have more classes with Kristin!! |
Rude behavior is not acceptable. Cycle classes fill up in January and the following posted cycle protocol will now be enforced by all our instructors: (1) The 25 members who have registered for the class have a reserved bike till 5 minutes prior to class time. (2) At that time The class is open seating on a first come/first served basis. (3) All rosters are in The notebook on The stereo. We love Kristan also! She teaches 5th grade full time so she has to limit her YMCA teaching. In February, however, she will add a Tuesday 7:20pm class for Y-Tri Club members. |

Upstairs is still like a baggage bay in the morning and does pose a trip hazzard (Track Loft). |
We are placing a new sign at the top of the stairs requesting people to use lockers and not clutter up the loft. |

On at least one of the new free motion inclines the pulse monitor is out. Aren't these under waranty? I do interval cardio to 90 plus percent of max heartbeat and really need to monitor heart-rate. I love that they go to 30% but would like to know my heart-rate too. |
The heart rate monitors on the Incline Trainers are sensitive to static electricity buildup from use. Staff needs to reset them occasionally. We will watch them more carefully. |

Please, please, please put the 30-minute limit on the machines, all of the machines, in the Wellness Center. Post a small sign on each machine so when people are asked to get off they will. I am tired, as a member, arguing with other people. |
We have put new "30 minute please" labels on each cardio machine. We will enforce this rule during busy times. |

Hate waiting for employee to get off weight machines. Shouldn't happen. |
When employees are "working", they should not be using the machines. When they are not on duty they are also members and are allowed to use the equipment in a respectful manner, following all the posted rules. |

With the influx of new members, you need to post the 30 minute time .imit on each exercise machine. The labels you had once seemed to work. Do it again! I watched as people spent over one hour on treadmills and elipticals. Makes for long waits and low turnover. |

PLEASE can we have cycle instructors post rosters and have participants sign in each class? There are way too many participants that are registered for the class that are getting turned away. |

Could you please consider offering the "free class" schedule by email? Would be nice to be able to have them available electronically instead of having to stop in for it. |
We are in the process of redefining the way we communicate with members. One of the ways we are moving is toward more email communication. Right now we are building our protocal; however, if you provide us your email address, I will make sure that the schedules are sent to you each session. Thanks. |

Please have people use lockers. The track area is not a luggage bay or locker room. There were coats and bags all along the red railing and pose a real hazzard. |

Hi! I love the newly remodeled Ladies/Women's Upstairs Locker Room - way better use of space. Could you please add a floor sit up bar next to the dumbell area? (under the fire alarm along that wall, there seems to be space.) The one in the gym by the track is very intimidating. Need to anchor my feet but don't want to hand upside down. Thanks. |
We are glad you are happy with our locker room improvements and Lucina's efforts to keep it spotless. Both "sit-ups" and "sit-up bars" are now considered contraindicated in the fitness industry. They lead to back injury and have been proven not to work the core muscles effectively. These old exercises have now been replaced with "curls" and "crunches" which work the core muscles very effectively. Check out our free Pilates, Core 'n More classes, as well as Group Power and Group Centergy for safe and effective Core Training. Thanks for the positive feedback. |
